I am excited to report that I am a recipient of a 2009 Community Arts Assistance Program grant through the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs*. The money is funding my new project concerning "processed" and "natural" foods I find in people's refrigerators and pantries. Of course, this work will be posted on this site when I have something to post. Stay tuned!

The Helsinki Biennale 2008 asked me to participate in a postcard project for their "Greetings From Thingland - Friends Of Helsinki Biennale" installation. The image I lent represents what I believe to be the national dessert of Thingland, lemon and strawberry schnitten, the national drink, hibiscus liquor, and the national flower, hibiscus. Here is the photo.
The proceeds from the sales of the postcards are going to the Clean Baltic Sea Foundation. Yay!
